Orange Chicken Classic Made Easy
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken (approx 2 large chicken breasts) -- cut into 1 inch squares
- 1 clove garlic - (crushed or chopped very fine ) or approx 2 tsp garlic salt
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil for frying chicken
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper or touch of hot sauce
- 2/3 cup of Kikkoman Orange Sauce (new) -- keep warm or at room temperature
Directions
- Combine chicken, soy sauce and garlic - let stand 15min.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Coat chicken mixture with cornstarch and cook in single layer, 1-2 min, on each side. Add crushed red pepper, cook and stir 1 min. Turn off heat. You can also place chicken in paper towels to drain any excess oil, then back into the pan.
- Stir in Orange Sauce that's been kept warm or at room temperature. NOTE: do NOT cook chicken in sauce. you want to keep chicken crispy as possible.
- Garnish with sliced green onion and toasted sesame seeds. Serve warm - alone or with rice.
